Dear reader,

A few years ago in Florida, my life suddenly changed.

Waiting at a red traffic light, on a wide 10 lane road, I was rear ended by a drunk driver.
‍
What seemed like a small accident had large negative repercussions.

Due to the accident, I was asked to undergo an MRI. I was diagnosed with a hernia and bulging disc in the c4 and c5 vertebrae of my spine.
‍
I ended up with a frustrating series of therapy sessions for two years.

Neurologists told me at the time I’d never be able to exercise or play sports again. I was told that a wrong fall could paralyze me for life.

I spiraled into anger and depression.

The fear crippled me. It affected how I viewed the world. I felt lost and forgotten.
‍
But then I made a decision - I wouldn’t allow this to beat me.

I researched every type of therapy I could. I kept going to therapy with little sign of progress.

Mentally I chose to lift myself up and rise above what seemed like an insurmountable challenge.

Much of this happened in isolation. In solitude I had to rediscover who I was and what I wanted for my life.

For much of this journey I felt alone and frustrated. But at the same time I started to realize the incredible potential within each of us.
‍
That fear is no longer a part of my life. Neither is the diagnosis that crippled my life.

To me Fenyx is more than data and digital.

Fenyx is a reflection and personification of those of us who want to rise above our challenges.

I realize I’m not alone in this.

Years later, I’ve met many daring individuals who decided life would not limit them. They each took great leaps of faith in critical moments.

I learned incredible lessons in that season of my life. So much I never thought I was capable of. So many limitations I once believed I had. These artificial restraints are not relevant anymore.

Fenyx is driven by the hope and the belief that more is always possible. 1% improvement when applied consistently over time can bring us to destinations we never believed were possible.

When this form of consistency is met with a willingness to innovate, the end result can be simply extraordinary.
